Hilltop Hideaway is a spacious, three-bedroom home located in a quiet, waterfront community across from South Dease Lake. This 2,200-square-foot vacation cottage in Hale, Michigan offers comfortable accommodations for nine guests with modern, luxury amenities.
The main floor at Hilltop Hideaway features an open floor plan with a connecting kitchen, dining room and sitting room. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes and modern appliances, and a homey breakfast bar with four stools makes it easy to sit and chat while meals are in the works.
The dining room has a family-style wooden table with chairs for six, and the sitting room is furnished with a large plush sofa, two recliners, a television and a cozy wood-burning stove. The living area has sliding doors that walk out to a lakeview back deck, fire pit and picnic table.
Sleeping arrangements: Hilltop Hideaway has three private bedrooms. The main-floor master bedroom has a king sized bed, while each guest room on the upper level is furnished with a set of bunk beds (one twin-over-full, one full-over-full). Bed Linens and some towels are provided.
With off-street parking for up to four vehicles (or three vehicles and a boat trailer), Hilltop Hideaway is ideal for family gatherings. Two decks on the lake-facing side offer lovely views close to the grilling area, outdoor seating and fire pit. This home does offer lake access on South Dease. There is also a smaller porch on the front side of the house and level grass.
This Michigan family getaway home at the lake is just a 10-minute drive from the picturesque small town of Hale, MI. You’ll be within easy reach of groceries, a hardware store, restaurants and local shops. There is also strip mall shopping within 25 minutes at West Branch or the Tanger Outlet Mall.
Although this home is located across the road from the lake (not right at the edge), there is direct boat access to the open water via the canal. Lake Dease is an all-sports recreation lake that covers 269 acres and reaches 34 feet deep.
Other neighboring attractions include Lumberman's Monument Park, the River Road Scenic Byway, canoe rentals, ski trails, bike paths, and more.
