Welcome to Sunrise Shores, a lakefront retreat with your own private access from the cabin to the shimmering waves of Saginaw Bay. With comfortable furnishings and convenient self check-in, you can arrive, drop your bags, and start relaxing right away.
Here, nature puts on a show—from glowing sunrises over the water to colorful sunsets and the quiet presence of free-roaming wildlife. Spend your days out on the water, casting a line, hunting nearby in season, or simply sitting by the firepit as the sun sinks below the horizon.
Breathe in the fresh Michigan Up North air as you watch the line where Lake Huron meets the sky. After dark, sit by the campfire, listen to the wood crackle, and gaze up at the star-filled sky reflecting off the bay. When you head inside, the cozy living area and restful bedrooms give you a warm, inviting place to unwind.
Cooking is easy and enjoyable at Sunrise Shores, thanks to the fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and deck with a barbecue grill. Coffee on the deck at daybreak, dinner after a full day outdoors, or late-night snacks by the lake—it’s all part of the experience. Wildlife sightings and the gentle sounds of nature are part of the everyday backdrop here.
In summer, imagine paddling on the bay at dusk and shining a light into the water to see fish and turtles moving below, or catching a glimpse of a curious peacock strutting past. In winter, bundle up for a moonlit walk on the frozen lake and watch fish beneath the ice as your flashlight glows through.
Set on the shores of Lake Huron in a quiet rural neighborhood, Sunrise Shores is close to town but tucked away from traffic and noise. Arenac County Beach with its 900-foot sandy shoreline is less than a mile away, and free parking is available on-site. The cabin is about 12 miles from Standish and 21 miles from East Tawas.
