Cooking can’t get any easier, and we already told you about our amazing kitchen. You can also use the gas grill (at least one full propane tank is free) with grilling tools while admiring the calm woods and extensive landscaping.
If you’re visiting spring through fall, look for Allegan County, Michigan farms while sightseeing. White Oaks Haven is only 10-15 minutes from Crane's Orchards & Dutch Farms (pies & fruit picking). Pick up berries, apples, wine, grapes, and other fresh local seasonal produce for your cabin! Of course, summer is the official season for lake fun! Go boating and swimming all day. When the snow flies, go downhill skiing, sledding, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, or ice skating. Since you book directly with us (the local experts) at Scott Lakes Property Company, we can give you a list of our “favorites” like the Fenn Valley Winery for tours & wine tastings, as well as some antiquing hot spots in nearby South Haven or some local museums to satisfy any amateur historians in your group. Michigan boasts many different festivals throughout the year, including the internationally-renowned Holland Tulip Festival.

We fell in love with southwest Michigan on a trip to visit friends in South Haven nearly 15 years ago. As Chicago natives, we were immediately enchanted by the serene atmosphere and natural beauty — not to mention the extensive outdoor activities. Since then, we have embraced the tradition of spending holidays and summer weekends in the area, and it was only a matter of time before we decided to find a vacation home of our own.
By a stroke of luck, we discovered our first gorgeous property on Upper Scott Lake in Lee Township nearly 15 years ago. We began renting the cottage there out of a desire to share our wonderful experiences there with others. Now, we operate 9 additional rental properties, and we love offering a simple countryside alternative to busy city life.
Our homes and guests benefit from the care of one of our diligent Local House Managers, Nicole. Her contact info is provided to each guest when they make their reservation and is also clearly posted in each home.
