Our newly expanded Serenity Lake Vista is a peaceful rural retreat tucked on a gentle slope alongside Lower Scott Lake in Allegan County, just 12 miles from the charming coastal Lake Michigan town of South Haven. This comfortable dual-home retreat features two cottages separated by a small yard area. The larger "headliner" home with full kitchen features both a breakfast nook where you can sip your favorite brew and island where you can prepare anything from a snack to a 4-course meal. The cozy kitchen opens into the inviting living room area with a sweeping lake view where you can warm your toes in front of the electric fireplace while watching your favorite movie on our large-screen (55") satellite-connected TV with DVD player. Gather in the dining room around our spacious table to share that special meal with loved ones, or just spend time together playing your favorite games if the weather keeps you indoors.
You will find four private bedrooms in this main house, one queen and one king, plus one large, private king master bedroom suite with both a step-in shower and jacuzzi tub, plus a kids' room with 2 sets of bunk beds (twin tops with full futon bottoms), in addition to another 2.5 bathrooms. Outside, you will find a sprawling lakeside deck with a large dining area and a gas grill, a lakeside fire pit with seating, an 8-person hot tub with pergola (available all year), front yard lake access which includes a private beach with a private dock and free use of our two (2) kayaks, plus a back deck with a small seating area. Inside our brand-new "sequel" cottage, which is under construction during winter 2023/2024, you will find an open living area with game tables along with some seating and a large-screen TV, plus a small dining set with kitchenette. Surrounding the living area will be four bedrooms, all starring en suite bathrooms. This home will feature 2 king bedrooms, 1 queen bedroom, and 1 bedroom with 2 sets of twin bunk beds. Make our homes your next great escape!
Note: Your private beach with dock and two kayaks (2) is in your front yard!
Sleeping arrangements: Eight bedrooms with 14 total beds. The main house has four bedrooms, including one king bedroom, one king master suite (with ensuite bathroom) one queen bedroom, and one kids' bedroom with two sets of twin bunk beds (four total beds). The brand-new smaller cottage also has four bedrooms, including one king bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, one queen bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, one full bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, and one kids' bedroom with two sets of twin bunk beds (four total beds).

Both our entire homes, yards, hot tub, private beach, private dock, and kayaks are ready and waiting for your exclusive use during your stay.

Serenity Lake Vista is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the lakefront setting, or take advantage of the many activities the area offers. Go swimming, boating, fishing, or kayaking on the lake. Hike or bike the nearby trails. Visit the orchards and vineyards in the area. Explore the charming towns of South Haven, Saugatuck, and Holland. Or simply relax on the deck and enjoy the view.
In the summer, there are many things to do in rural Michigan. You can enjoy the fun of picnicking and relaxing on the lake. You can also go fruit picking for cherries, blueberries, raspberries, and apples in nearby orchards. If you're looking for some excitement, you can take a dune ride or visit the South Haven beaches. And of course, no summer in Michigan would be complete without a visit to the Fennville Winery.
In the autumn, the fall colors around the lake and in the surrounding area are spectacular. This is a great time to visit the art galleries in the area and take home some beautiful souvenirs. You can also go hiking or biking on the nearby trails.
In the spring, the lovely colors of the flowers and leaves bursting into life are a sight to behold. This is a great time to walk, hike, or simply sit on your porch and enjoy the fresh air.
No matter what time of year you visit, you're sure to have a great time in rural Michigan. With so much to see and do, you'll be coming back for more.

CANCELATIONS:

--No refunds will be given for cancellations made within 30 days of the check-in date.

My husband & I, along with my parents and brother, stayed at this property for a family wedding nearby. It was perfect in every way.
