Maple Woods Hideaway is a beautifully decorated countryside cottage just one mile from Upper Scott Lake and only 2.5 hours from Chicago. This ranch home has a full kitchen, an open-concept dining and living area, a large front deck, a screened porch with a dining table, a new XL Titan park-style charcoal grill, a fire pit, a separate recreation room building with a TV lounge area, and a seven-person all-season hot tub right outside the back door of our home.
The interior spaces within this home are decorated with unique vintage art/decor and provide enough seating for movie nights or, for guests that bring their favorite games, a game night. The kitchen is roomy and generously equipped with all the amenities needed to cook a delicious meal for friends/family. Eat inside at the expansive dining table, or move to the screened porch for an outdoor dining experience. Just steps from the back door are the spacious rec room with a pool table, foosball, air hockey, a 55" HD TV with satellite TV, a loveseat, a fridge, and a full bathroom. In the backyard, you will also find the outdoor hot tub that accommodates six or so guests, the XL park-style charcoal grill, a picnic table, and the fire pit. Travel just a mile to Upper Scott Lake and enjoy private lake access with a private dock waiting for you to get in one of our free canoes or rentable kayaks.
Sleeping arrangements: Five bedrooms with eight total beds. Four bedrooms have a queen bed, and one has two sets of twin bunk beds (four total beds).

Kayak rental is available Apr 15-Oct 25 for $35 per day per kayak. Advance registration & payment required; $105 min charge applies.
Check-in is 5:00 PM EST and check-out is 11:00 AM EST.

--No refunds will be given for cancellations made within 30 days of the check-in date.

We have been managing our growing group of 22 listings/17 homes in SW Michigan since 2006 and love helping people find the perfect vacation rental for their needs. As admirers of Michigan's abundant natural beauty, we hope that folks who stay in our homes come to appreciate the area as much as we do.
By a stroke of luck, we discovered our first gorgeous property on Upper Scott Lake in Lee Township over 20 years ago. Seeking to share the beauty and enjoyment of the area we'd experienced, we began renting out the cottage to others. Since then, we have added 15 more properties over the past 20 years, and we truly enjoy offering our guests a simple countryside alternative to busy city life.
