The Lucky Duck is a 3-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom ranch-style cottage located in the Scott Lakes area of Lee Township in rural Allegan County, Michigan. The cottage is situated on a quiet cul-de-sac, just a short walk from Upper Scott Lake. It features a private beach and dock with a canoe, as well as a deck with a fire table and lounge seating. The cottage is fully furnished and equipped with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay, including a full kitchen, dining area, and living room with a fireplace.
Accommodations: The Lucky Duck sleeps up to 6 guests in three queen bedrooms. There are three full bathrooms and an additional half bath. The bedrooms are all located on the main floor, and each has its own private bathroom. The master bedroom has a king-size bed and a private balcony overlooking the lake.
Amenities: In addition to the private beach and dock, the Lucky Duck also features a deck with a fire table and lounge seating, a dining area, a full kitchen, and a living room with a fireplace. The cottage also has a hot tub (coming in late June 2023) and a washer and dryer.

Guest Policies: Guests will have full access to the entire cottage, including the decks, yard, driveway/parking area, private beach, and private dock with canoe. Please respect our neighbors and only use our yard, beach, dock, driveway, and parking areas. No RV parking/camping is allowed.
The use of the canoe is free with the home. Kayak rental is also available by the day or week for a fee. Please contact us for details.
Local boat rental options may be available. The public boat launch is just down the street from the cottage.

Summer in the Scott Lakes area is a time for fun in the sun. With two pristine lakes to enjoy, there are plenty of opportunities for swimming, boating, and fishing. You can also take a leisurely paddle in your kayak or canoe, or rent a jet ski for some adrenaline-pumping excitement.
After a day of activities, relax on the beach or in your hammock and soak up the sun. Or, head to one of the many nearby orchards to pick your own fruit. In the evening, enjoy a picnic dinner on the lakeshore or a bonfire with friends.
Fall in the Scott Lakes area is a time of stunning beauty. The leaves change color, creating a kaleidoscope of reds, oranges, and yellows. This is a great time to go for a hike or bike ride, or to simply take a drive and enjoy the scenery. If you're looking for something to do indoors, visit one of the area's many wineries or breweries. Or, take a tour of a local cider mill and sample some of their delicious cider.
Winter in the Scott Lakes area is a time for snow sports. You can go skiing, snowboarding, or snowshoeing at one of the area's many resorts. Or, simply build a snowman or have a snowball fight with your friends. If you're looking for something to do indoors, visit one of the area's many museums or art galleries.
Spring in the Scott Lakes area is a time of renewal. The flowers start to bloom, the trees start to bud, and the birds start to sing. This is a great time to go for a walk or hike, or to simply sit in your backyard and enjoy the fresh air. If you're looking for something to do indoors, visit one of the area's many farmers markets and pick up some fresh produce.

CANCELATIONS:
--Cancelations made a minimum of 60 days prior to the check-in date will be refunded the full deposit amount less a $150.00 Processing Fee.
--Cancelations made between 31 and 59 days prior to the check-in date will receive 50 percent of the deposit amount less a $150.00 Processing Fee.
--No refunds will be given for cancellations made within 30 days of the check-in date.
The minimum required age for the primary renter is 25 years & all unrelated guests must be 25+.

I love helping people find the perfect vacation rental for their needs, and I've been managing this growing group of homes in southwest Michigan since 2011. By a stroke of luck, we discovered our first gorgeous property on Upper Scott Lake in Lee Township nearly 17 years ago. We began renting the cottage there out of a desire to share our wonderful experiences there with others. We now offer 13 additional rental properties, and we love offering a simple countryside alternative to busy city life.
