Newly built in the Fall of 2019, Hawk’s Haven is more than just a vacation rental — it’s a relaxing vacation experience with comfortable, modern accommodations that include a private lakefront and dock on Upper Scott Lake in serene, rural Lee Township, Michigan.
This one-story ranch-style home offers social spaces at each end, featuring an open floor plan and ample natural light that allows you to take a deep breath, relax, and spread out in a sunny, thoughtfully decorated lake house that features seven bedrooms and four full bathrooms.
Enjoy the breathtaking view of the sprawling lawn leading to the shimmering lake from the great room or screened porch with your morning coffee. Take advantage of the gorgeous Michigan weather with afternoons spent on the furnished deck, cooking up your favorite meal on the gas grill, and enjoying lazy evenings together around the large, built-in fire pit, which accommodates 16.
Hawk’s Haven’s most recent upgrade will make a world of difference to your stay! We’re now happy to offer our guests high-speed fiber internet, making it easy for you to stay connected so you can easily stream video, work remotely, or share your getaway in real time. With a large family-style dining room table, a large, fully equipped modern kitchen, a spacious great room with a large (55") flat-screen HD TV, and multiple leather sofas, this home is ideal for large group stays. The open recreation room features a pool table, a foosball table, an air hockey table, plus another lounge area complete with a second large-screen (55") flat-screen HD TV and more comfy leather sofas.
This stunning seven-bedroom Lee Township vacation home is one of 22 listings, or 17 homes across 16 properties, managed by Scott Lakes Property Company. Hawk’s Haven has a unique outlook on Upper Scott Lake, with lots of private outdoor space spread over a large lawn, a tidy lake access area, and a dock. The indoor spaces are spacious and well-kept, with great views. The back deck, with clear sightlines to the water’s edge, features ample outdoor dining seating plus a gas grill. There is also a well-lit, furnished screened porch for rainy days, and an outdoor fire pit closer to the water. A short walk off the deck takes you to your private, lakefront area with a private dock and canoe. Kayaks may also be reserved in advance for a nominal daily fee.
Sleeping arrangements: Hawk’s Haven has 11 beds distributed throughout its seven private bedrooms. Five of the bedrooms are furnished with one queen-sized bed each. Bedroom six has two twin-sized beds, and bedroom seven has two sets of twin bunk beds.

This 16-person Upper Scott Lakefront getaway is located on a 99-acre all-recreation lake with a reputation for great fishing. Cast a line from the dock or venture out in a boat to catch bluegill, largemouth bass, northern pike, or yellow perch. Visitors can enjoy paddling and swimming, taking in the natural scenery, or visiting the local attractions. One favorite Lee Township-area destination is Saugatuck Dunes State Park, with more than two miles of picturesque shoreline, lovely hiking trails, and unique coastal dunes. Cranes Pie Pantry and Orchard is a great place to find fresh, seasonal fruits and homemade, freshly baked treats chock-full of locally grown produce. Fenn Valley Winery offers a daily sampling of locally grown and produced wines, small bites, and seasonal tours of their rolling, verdant vineyards.
South Haven is a short 15-minute drive away and offers much to do, including South Beach which was named 2026's "Michigan's Best Beach" by USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards! We are just over 30 miles from Gun Lake Casino, and less than 8 miles from the Fenn Valley Vineyards. The Saugatuck-Douglas History Museum and a 19th-century lighthouse are just over 20 miles away. By a stroke of luck, we discovered our first gorgeous property on Upper Scott Lake in Lee Township over 20 years ago. Seeking to share the beauty and enjoyment of the area we'd experienced, we began renting out the cottage to others. Since then, we have added 15 more properties over the past 20 years, and we truly enjoy offering our guests a simple countryside alternative to busy city life.
