Newly built in the Fall of 2019, Hawk’s Haven is more than just a vacation rental home — it’s a relaxing vacation experience with comfortable, modern accommodations that include a private lakefront and dock on Upper Scott Lake in serene, rural Lee Township, Michigan.
This one-story ranch-style home offers social spaces at each end with an open floor plan and tons of natural light that allows you to breathe easy, relax, and spread out in a clean, thoughtfully decorated lake home with seven private bedrooms and four full baths.
The views from the great room and screen porch are breathtaking, and you’ll love the wide open spaces of the level lawn. You'll enjoy making the most of the pleasant Michigan weather by spending afternoons on our furnished deck, cooking up your favorite meal on our gas grill, and enjoying lazy evenings together around our large built-in fire pit with seating for 16.
This home is ideal for large groups, with a large family-style dining room table, a large, fully-equipped modern kitchen, a spacious great room with a large (55") flat-screen HD TV, and multiple leather sofas. The open recreation room features a pool table, foosball table, an air hockey table, plus another lounge area complete with a second large-screen (55") flat-screen HD TV and more comfy leather sofas.
Sleeping arrangements: Hawk’s Haven has 11 beds distributed throughout its seven private bedrooms. Five of the bedrooms are furnished with one queen-sized bed each. Bedroom six has two twin-sized beds, and bedroom seven has two sets of [twin] bunk beds.

This stunning seven-bedroom Lee Township vacation home is one of 18 listings, or 15 homes across 13 properties, managed by Scott Lakes Property Company. Hawk’s Haven has a unique outlook on Upper Scott Lake, with lots of private outdoor space spread over our large lawn, tidy lake access area, and dock. The indoor spaces are roomy and well-kept, with great views. The back deck, with clear sight lines to the water’s edge, features ample outdoor dining seating plus a gas grill. There is also a well-lit, furnished screened porch for rainy days, and an outdoor fire pit closer to the water. A short walk off the deck takes you to your private, lakefront area with a private dock and canoe. Kayaks may also be reserved in advance for a nominal daily fee.
This 16-person Upper Scott Lakefront getaway is located on a 99-acre all-recreation lake with a reputation for great fishing. Cast a line from the dock or venture out in a boat to catch bluegill, large-mouth bass, northern pike, or yellow perch. Visitors can enjoy paddling and swimming, taking in the natural scenery, or visiting the local attractions. One favorite Lee Township-area destination is Saugatuck Dunes State Park, with more than two miles of picturesque shoreline, lovely hiking trails, and unique coastal dunes. Cranes Pie Pantry and Orchard is a great place to find fresh, seasonal fruits and homemade, freshly baked treats chock-full of locally grown produce. Fenn Valley Winery offers a daily sampling of locally grown and produced wines, small bites, and seasonal tours of their rolling, verdant vineyards.
Our guests also frequently enjoy swimming in nearby Lake Michigan or just spending the day together in the sun at one of the Great Lakes' finest public beaches in nearby South Haven. We are just over 30 miles from Gun Lake Casino, and less than 8 miles from the Fenn Valley Vineyards. The Saugatuck-Douglas History Museum and a 19th-century lighthouse are just over 20 miles away. We have been managing our growing group of 18 listings/15 homes in SW Michigan since 2011 and love helping people find the perfect vacation rental for their needs. As admirers of Michigan's abundant natural beauty, we hope that folks who stay in our homes come to appreciate the area as much as we do.
By a stroke of luck, the owners discovered their first gorgeous property on Upper Scott Lake in Lee Township over 18 years ago. They began renting out the cottage because they sought to share the wonderful experiences their family has enjoyed through the years. Since then, we have added 14 more properties over the past 13 years, and we truly enjoy offering our guests a simple countryside alternative to busy city life.
