Your Shimmering Shores Lake Huron waterfront vacation rental features a total of 4 bedrooms/3.5 baths and plenty of space for families vacationing together or reunions. The home was remodeled in 2015 with a fresh contemporary cottage décor. A wall of windows/doors across the width of the living/dining area infuses the room with abundant light and beautiful views of the lake. It’s just a short walk down some steps from the home and across the grassy lawn area to the lake where you’ll want to watch the sunset and sunrises.
The home’s kitchen includes granite counter tops, a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, toaster, coffeemaker, dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, and cookware. A breakfast bar seats 4 with 6 more around the adjoining dining room table. TV’s in the living room and bedrooms let you watch your own favorite shows while on vacation.
There is internet available. Limited parking on paved areas only for 5 cars. Lake levels vary and may be higher or lower than as shown in photos. No parking on grass/septic system.

The property’s private stretch of Lake Huron’s sandy shore for sunbathing, swimming, walking and water sports is steps away from the lakefront home. A basketball hoop is sure to invite friendly competition on the court. Upstairs in the house is an attic family room for games or quiet time.
A fire pit on the beach will be a favorite evening gathering spot for roasting marshmallows after your have a cookout on the gas grill. The spacious deck at the lakefront will be your special area for relaxing and listening to the waves
Take a short drive to the 1876 Tawas Point Lighthouse with seasonal 45-minute lighthouse tours, hiking, beach, and picnic area. Bicycle or hike the paved Tawas Bike path alongside US 23 and the shore of Lake Huron. Stop in at Tuttle Marsh Wildlife Area to experience a birder’s heaven with over 200 species during migration peak times.
