The Phoebe cabin at NettieBay Lodge in Hawks, Michigan, is a quiet one-bedroom cottage on the scenic shoreline of Lake Nettie. This four-bedroom vacation rental offers comfortable relaxation and modern amenities, close to ATV trails, water sports, and hunting grounds.
The Phoebe is settled on a private lot with its own boat dock on Lake Nettie. The cabin offers easy access to swimming and fishing, close to a shallow, sand-bottomed bay. This home is a single story, with an open living area that includes a sitting room and a fully equipped kitchen.
The kitchen at The Phoebe includes dishes, cookware and large and small appliances, as well as plenty of countertop work space. This home is fully furnished, with one full bath. The shaded yard includes a private fire pit, and Wi-Fi is available at the lodge, 1/4 mile from the cabin.
Sleeping arrangements: The single private bedroom at The Phoebe is furnished with a queen-sized bed. There is also a pull-out sofa in the living room.
The Phoebe is one of the most secluded cottages at NettieBay, with a beautiful view of the water and easy access to the docks. Little extras — such as the screen porch, picnic table, fire pit, private dock and 14-foot fishing boat — really set this rental apart.
NettieBay offers a variety of guided hunting programs, which can be tailored to your group. Hunts include family-style meals or sack lunches. Options include whitetail deer, grouse and woodcock, and a Michigan predator hunt.
NettieBay Lodge is also set up as a specialized hands-on learning center, with craft instruction available in split bamboo rodmaking, stone masonry, photography and birding.
The Phoebe cabin offers easy access to fishing, swimming, boating and watersports, located within walking distance of the shore and private dock. Lake Nettie has a sand bottom that’s great for swimming, and the area is beautiful to explore in kayaks or canoes.
ATVs are encouraged at NettieBay Lodge — spend a day out on the trails or on the lake, and end the evening with a bonfire and marshmallows while you enjoy the quiet, the night sky and the sounds of nature. Our cabins are open year-round, offering outdoor activities in all seasons.
Get away with family or friends in the northeast corner of Michigan’s lower peninsula, and relax in the great outdoors or take advantage of NettieBay’s unique spring learning workshops. We offer guided hunting and fishing trips onsite, as well as crafting and wilderness hobbies.

The frogs at NettieBay Lodge are numerous and the campfire was delightful. Frog catching with Alicia was so fun and it provided us with laughs to last a long time. All the Great Blue Herons will leave memories that will last even longer! Departing is never easy, but we’ll be back next year! — Emily
