The Finch cottage is the second in a set of three “duplex cabins” situated on the scenic lakeshore at northern Michigan’s NettieBay Lodge. This picturesque vacation rental on the water enjoys access to resort amenities, as well as a shared dock on beautiful Lake Nettie.
The Finch is a cozy, one-bedroom cabin home offering comfortable accommodations for four at NettieBay Lodge. The cottage includes a central living area, complete with a fully furnished kitchen, a small dining area, and a sitting room with a walkout to the paved patio.
The yard at The Finch is level and grassy, with plenty of shade provided by a privacy screen of tall trees to the back of the cabin. The patio is located on the lake-facing side, along with a picnic table, two Adirondack outdoor lounge chairs, a fire pit and a charcoal grill.
Sleeping arrangements: The Finch has one private bedroom inside, furnished with a queen-sized bed. There is also a twin-sized daybed in the living area, and room for one person to stay on the full-length living room couch.
Guests to our Finch cottage enjoy full access to a range of shared resort amenities at NettieBay Lodge, including boat docks, a 14-foot fishing boat (boat motors and fuel are available for rent or sale onsite), a children’s play area, a shallow swimming area, a resort convenience store (with bait, snacks, firewood, etc.), complimentary wireless internet, and more.
The Finch at NettieBay Lodge enjoys a scenic spot on the grassy shore of Lake Nettie, where our guests have full access to fishing, swimming, sunbathing and watersports.
Each cabin rental includes a private dock and fishing boat. We also encourage guests to bring their own watercraft — there’s always room for canoes, kayaks, jet skis, and the like!
NettieBay is close to numerous scenic trails in the region, including access points for hiking and biking, cross-country skiing, ATVs and snowmobiles, many open year-round.
NettieBay’s most unique offerings come in the form of our guided hunting and fishing trips and our seasonal skills workshops — great for family reunions or corporate events.
We offer spring classes in photography, split bamboo rod-making, birding and stone masonry, and trips for whitetail deer, grouse and woodcock, and Michigan predator hunts.

Cabins at NettieBay Lodge offer a 4:00 pm check-in time, with check-out scheduled for 10:00 am.
A non-refundable deposit of $300.00 is required to reserve your cabin
Balance is due upon arrival.
One boat is included with each cabin rental. Motors and fuel are available for an additional fee.

The frogs at NettieBay Lodge are numerous and the campfire was delightful. Frog catching with Alicia was so fun and it provided us with laughs to last a long time. All the Great Blue Herons will leave memories that will last even longer! Departing is never easy, but we’ll be back next year! — Emily
