Eagle’s Nest enjoys a private space in the hillside, with a beautiful view of the lake. Guests will love the upper-level balcony and walk-out paved patio, furnished with a picnic table and two wooden Adirondack lounge chairs. The grassy lawn outside slopes gently to the water.
The interior of Eagle’s Nest cabin features a spacious second-story living area with a cozy sitting room, a central dining room with chairs for five, and a large, fully equipped kitchen with new appliances and plenty of counter space. Picture windows overlook the lakeside yard.
Sleeping arrangements: Two private bedrooms at Eagle’s Nest are located on the top story, while the garden level is furnished with two sets of full-over-full bunk beds.
Rental cottages at NettieBay Lodge in Hawks, Michigan, enjoy exclusive access to resort grounds and amenities on Lake Nettie. We provide shared internet, fire pits, lawn chairs, picnic tables, charcoal grills, and a playground area for kids. Eagle’s Nest cottage is located in northeast Michigan, close to scenic hiking and ATV trails, watersports, and dozens of other outdoor adventure opportunities. Your prime position at the edge of Lake Nettie means you can walk right out the door and onto a boat — we encourage guests to bring their own watercraft, but each cabin rental includes a 14-inch fishing boat and a private dock. Boat motors and fuel are available onsite for an additional fee.
Lake Nettie is relatively clear, with a sandy bottom that’s great for swimming. Another favorite activity in the region is snowmobiling and ATVs, with well-maintained trails open year-round. You’ll love the changing seasons, starry skies, and serene views at NettieBay Lodge. Call ahead to find out about seasonal skills workshops, such as wilderness photography classes, birding, stone masonry, split bamboo rod-making, and even guided hunting and fishing trips.

The frogs at NettieBay Lodge are numerous and the campfire was delightful. Frog catching with Alicia was so fun and it provided us with laughs to last a long time. All the Great Blue Herons will leave memories that will last even longer! Departing is never easy, but we’ll be back next year! — Emily
