Check out this wonderfully restored, very cute and comfortable cottage in the Woodsy! Located in a resort area the locals call Winnetaska (The Land of Happy Laughter). Guests rave about the amazing sunsets over Lake Michigan as seen from a bluff a short walk away. From here you can see passing sea vessels while imagining the fog horns sounding their warnings. This vacation house is next to the new 2022 opened Dune Harbor Park....Heaven for Kayaking....bring your Kayak.
Our roomy, comfortable hideaway is surrounded by large trees and the quiet of the woods has. Our Michigan cabin has a furnished living room (flat screen TV), dining room area, equipped kitchen - all flooded by natural light thanks to lots of windows. Kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, bakeware, small appliances, silverware, dishes, grill utensils, bottle opener, can opener, crock pot, coffee maker, and more. Dining table seats 6 and 4 more in the eat in Kitchen.
Sleeping arrangement: Master bedroom has a King bed. The second bedroom has separate beds for 3 plus a boat toddler bed. For a full house, use the living room daybed with a trundle – 2 twins or make it into a king bed for 2.
The bathroom is generous in size, tub/shower and contains the washer and dryer.
Their is a wagon to take toys, snacks and your beach towels to the top of the dune before ascending to the sandy beach.

Parking has room for cars and a small boat and trailer. Outdoor grill and a fire pit. Convenient main floor laundry. 75+ DVDs to choose from for movie night!
Our unique location near Muskegon so outdoor recreation and world class arts and culture are just around the bend. Next to the newly opened Dune harbor Park....a favorite with Kayakers. With Lake Michigan beaches this close, don’t forget to pack the beach towels.

Take a quick drive or bike ride to 2 popular Lake Michigan beaches - Kruse Beach or Pere Marquette Beach (a wide sandy beach with park play equipment, restaurants, a scenic channel, even a WWII submarine). This Lake Michigan cottage is centrally located and is your basecamp and promised to deliver joyous, beautiful, never-to-be forgotten memories. Another inland lake beach to check out is on Muskegon Lake.
Like to explore? You won’t have to go far to the second largest farmers market in Michigan, art museums, a county museum, golf, inland lakes, and grocery shopping. You can go for a hike right from your secluded private cabin. In fact, it feels like the house is in a state park.
Need to mix in a little adult big city FUN? The Muskegon area is the place to be: Unruly Brewing, Pigeon Hill Brewing, Little River Casino. The family FUN list is much longer: AquaStar Cruises, Lakeshore Art Festival, Northway Lanes

This is the second time I've stayed at this property and I enjoyed it each time. The house is clean, comfortable and has everything someone would need. The backyard has a fire pit and plenty of chairs for campfires and making s'mores. I would definitely recommend this property! Bill G.
We recently had the pleasure of spending a week at this wonderful home. It couldn't have been any better. The house is set in secluded woods in a very quiet setting. The house has everything you could need for a family vacation. The owner was very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. We have vacationed in Michigan several times and never had access to what I would call a private beach. The beach access is only a couple 100 yards away from the home and it is awesome with breathtaking sunsets.The location allowed us to also make a couple college visits to WMU and MSU. We would jump at the chance to stay here again and would recommend this house to anyone that wants to have a relaxing vacation in a very cozy home with a private beach! Jim C.
We saw deer, wild turkeys, pilated woodpeckers, and much more on a daily basis. The house was well kept and felt like home. The owner was gracious and very accommodating. We had the private beach to ourselves every time we went there! Sitting on the porch surrounded by the sounds of nature was so wonderful we did not want to leave!
