As the name suggests, this cabin highlights two of the property’s best features: expansive lake views and abundant wildlife. Watch the water change with the light, see animals moving freely through the natural habitat, and enjoy activities like watersports, fishing, hunting in season, and evenings spent by the bonfire.
Breathe in the crisp Up North air as you gaze out over the bay where Lake Huron meets the shoreline. At dusk, the cabin glows warmly behind you as you sit at the firepit, listening to the crackle of the fire and looking up at a star-filled sky reflecting off the water. Indoors, the cozy living area and restful bedrooms offer a soothing place to end the day.
The fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and deck with a barbecue grill make Lakeview & Wildlife perfect for shared meals and relaxed gatherings. Imagine starting the day with coffee on the deck, watching a blue peacock fan out its colorful tail as it strolls by, or ending the evening quietly listening to the sounds of the lake and the surrounding wildlife.
No matter the season, there’s something special to experience—summer nights paddling on the water and spotting fish and turtles, crisp autumn walks, snowy winter adventures on the frozen lake under the moon, and vibrant spring mornings. Nestled on the shores of Lake Huron in a serene rural neighborhood, Lakeview & Wildlife is close to town but away from busy traffic and noise. Arenac County Beach with its 900-foot sandy beach is less than a mile away. Free on-site parking is provided, and the cabin is located about 12 miles from Standish and 21 miles from East Tawas.

Guests are welcome to check in from 4:00 PM, with the latest check-in time being 11:30 PM, and are kindly requested to check out by 10:00 AM. Children and infants are allowed, but pets are not permitted. Parties, events, and smoking inside the cabin are strictly prohibited. Quiet hours are observed between 10:00 PM and 9:00 AM to ensure a peaceful environment for all. We ask guests to be considerate of neighbors at all times and to avoid trespassing on neighboring properties. The use of illegal drugs or engagement in illegal activities on the property is not allowed. Only individuals listed in the reservation may stay overnight; any damages caused will be the financial responsibility of the guest.
This charming cabin offers ample space, breathtaking views, and exceptionally gracious hosts. The scenery was magnificent, and the cabin was equipped with everything I needed for my stay. A delightful visit from the neighborhood peacock added to the experience. As it's nestled in the woods, there were naturally some spider webs outside, but overall, I was very pleased with my stay.
