Reviews

Clean, attention to detail, very accommodating. Thanks, Wolf Lake is one of West Michigan’s hidden gems. - Mary Jean H.
Wonderful week! We just completed our third stay at this beautiful cottage with our two daughters and their families - grandchildren all under 10. The home is very well kept with a very nice beach and excellent swimming for small children. The kids enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat very much as well as fishing off the dock. - David V.
Great vacation rental. This cottage is a wonderful place to stay! The beach is sandy, the water is clear, the deck is great, and the kitchen is well supplied. Our extended family, from the 2-year-olds to the grandparents, all had a fantastic time here. The water is shallow for quite a ways, letting the kids get wet at their own comfort levels. The kayaks and paddleboat add to the water fun. The fire pit on the beach makes it easy to have s'mores, or just enjoy a fire in the evening. We would recommend this rental to anyone who enjoys relaxing on a lake. We have enjoyed coming here for three summers. - Keith S.
Excellent location and wonderful accommodations. My family (children, grandchildren, husband) and I have stayed here twice and love the home and lake access. It has everything we need for a terrific get away. The lake is shallow near the beach, which is perfect for very young children. We have totally enjoyed our stay. - Kathleen G.
Great Vacation Stay! Definitely Recommend It. Our stay on Wolf Lake was a great vacation. The house was roomy, clean, and very well stocked. The beach was great for all ages. The little ones played in the sand and the lake and the older ones sunned, or sat in the shade of the beach umbrella and read. The lake was perfect for the kids to play in. They could go in as deep as they were comfortable, or just sit by the edge and splash. Members of our family enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat. The fire pit and patio on the beach were great for roasting hot dogs and s'mores. The deck on the upper level was a great place for everyone to gather and play or eat or read or nap or just enjoy the beautiful view. We have stayed at many different cottages, but this one was in a different class. It was a perfect place for our multi-generational family vacation. So glad we found this place! Hope to go back for another visit. - Keith S.
Great place to spend family vacation. The beach area worked out great for the little kids, they were able to walk into the lake that had a sandy bottom and play in the sandbox located right on the beach. We enjoyed the porch overlooking the lake and the cottage was equipped with all the necessary accommodations for cooking grilling and sleeping! We had great weather and a super fun time! Highly recommend. - Joe L.
The Perfect West Michigan Vacation Home. We were impressed the minute we walked in the door. The house is very spacious, clean, well maintained, and very comfortable. We shared the home with my parents visiting from Pennsylvania. We had 8 people total and never felt cramped. I loved the separate living spaces. We cooked on the grill almost every night and roasted marshmallows in the fire pit by the lake. The lake is very shallow and the kids could walk out far without having to worry. The kids caught quite a few fish from the paddle boat, and the kayaks were fun too. After such a scorching hot summer we got lucky with a comfortable week of weather in the 80's, sunny, and low humidity. Michigan's Adventure was less than a half hour away which we all enjoyed and we spent one day at the Sand Dunes which was 45 minutes to an hour away. My daughter had a softball tournament in Holland so we had to drive back and forth there 2 days but it was a short drive too. The house is a bit far off the freeway but we finally got used to it after we got to know the area. There is a school nearby with a really nice playground too. The owners made us feel welcome and provided everything we needed. The only thing that was missing is a dishwasher so we did buy paper plates and cups. There were plenty of towels, sheets, pots & pans, utensils and even a griddle I used to make pancakes & french toast. Thanks for everything Doug & Deb! - Denise W.
My family and one other family stayed here in July. Four adults and three kids. There was plenty of room for us all. It is nice having two living spaces. The house was very clean, especially the bathrooms and kitchen. The kitchen is very well stocked. The lake was quiet. Not much boat activity while we were there. So it was perfect for kayaking. We saw a lot of wildlife. A bald eagle ate breakfast in the tree right in front of the porch one morning. The house worked out perfectly for us. No problems at all. The owners are very nice and obviously take good care of their property. The patio down by the water is quite nice. We enjoyed several S'mores and spent most of the time down on the beach. We definitely recommend this property! - Margaret C.
