The family chefs will love our remodeled & fully equipped kitchen. Plenty of elbow room in the 12 x 38 Great Room with a family gathering area equipped flat screen TV and couches at one end, a newly renovated kitchen in the middle with prep island and a large dining room at the other. Take the cooking duties outdoors - Use the charcoal grill and relax at the picnic table with a beverage. Prefer gas grilling? Use the shared gas grills throughout the resort grounds.
The Twin Lakes Shore Resort has all the resort toys you’d expect! Playground, swing set, sand box, areas for horseshoe, volleyball, badminton and basketball.
Sleeping arrangement: 4 double beds. Two sleep sofas. Large bathroom with separate shower area.
Linens, bath towel and supplied once per week. We get you started with a first day supply of paper products and soap, but you’ll want to pack your own for the rest of your West Twin Lake stay. If you are coming to Northern Michigan during spring or fall, the Golfers’ Retreat Cottage heat will keep things comfortable inside.
Our West Twin Lake Resort is near Gaylord and Alpena. Traverse City wineries and Mackinac Island are fun day trips in the region. Enjoy a magnificent golden sunset or a round of championship golf. It’s a sportman’s destination for the entire family where boating, kayaking, golfing, fishing ,and mushroom hunting are not far from your private Michigan cottage.
Golfers’ Retreat includes lots of free resort treats: Row boats, paddle boats, kayaks, bicycles. Bring your water toys too - we have a large dock and moorings for boats and jet skis. Try catching fish dinner! West Twin Lake has walleye, perch, bass and pike. The newly remodeled Twin Lakes Shore Resort is full of surprises.
Some of the best weeks and weekends are in the spring and fall seasons. Early May is prime time hunting for Morel mushroom! Fall grouse and deer hunting is spectacular. The quiet season that runs late October into early November is a great time for a quiet get away...bring a book and nestle into a cozy cabin with a roaring wood fire. You’ll be surrounded by lakes, trails, and the magnificent Mackinac State Forest that offers public access to trails, steams and lakes.
