Our Nature Nook Cottage has stunning views of beautiful West Twin Lake in Lewiston, Michigan. This large three-bedroom/one-bath cottage can accommodate up to eight people.
The large, central, great room is a combined family room, dining, and kitchen with a flat screen TV. Outside you have patio chairs on a small deck, a picnic table, and your own charcoal grill for dining outside and enjoying the lovely views of water, nature, and wildlife. A shared firepit is steps away, as is the lovely lakeshore. Just 35 minutes east of Gaylord, this Northern Michigan cabin rental enjoys the scenic lakefront amenities of the newly remodeled Twin Lake Shore Resort that include a sandy swimming beach, a large dock for mooring your own 12’ aluminum row boat.
The fully equipped kitchen has a refrigerator, stove, toaster, coffeemaker, dishware, cooking utensils, silverware, and cookware. The kitchen is also stocked with the first day’s supply of paper products and soap. If you have a weekly rental, bring your own additional paper products, soaps and trash bags. Linens and bath towels are included, but bring your own beach towels. This Montmorency County cabin offers a comfortable, restful retreat surrounded by nature.
Sleeping arrangements: Bedroom 1 - queen bed; Bedroom 2 - double bed; Bedroom 3 - 2 double beds.
Cottage #3 - Nature Nook Cabin guests have free use of the resort’s row boats, kayaks, paddle boats, and canoe. It’s so easy to get out and explore the lake and ride the resort trails/roads. The sandy swimming beach with crystal clear water will be a favorite destination for everyone in your party. Our large U shaped dock with floating Tiki Barge helps guests spread out and enjoy all aspects of lake living. Families with children will also enjoy having a sandbox, swing set, playground, horseshoes, volleyball/badminton net, and basketball shooting areas all onsite.
Relax outside, cook on the cabin’s BBQ grill, and eat dinner out on the picnic table while you listen to the sounds of nature and the calls of Loons. You might even see an Eagle, or Osprey flying over the trees. The newly remodeled Twin Lakes Shore Resort still has its historic feel where you can truly feel away from all the hustle and bustle of city life. It is only a 3.5-hour drive from Detroit, so you can experience a Michigan Northwoods weekend getaway.
Bring your own boat or jet skis to moor at the resort’s waterfront. We rent outboard motors for the 12’ aluminum boats that come with your rental and you can rent a pontoon boat at the nearby marina. Relax on the beach, swim in the lake, cast your fishing line from the dock or boat, or take out a kayak for a leisurely paddle on the lake.
West Twin Lake is 1,313 acres with a maximum depth of 28 feet. Anglers can expect to catch Yellow Perch, Walleye, Northern Pike, Largemouth Bass and Bluegill. At the end of the day you can relax with family and friends around a campfire and make your favorite camp snacks.
The Twin Lakes Shore Resort is located only one mile from west downtown Lewiston. With just a short drive, you can find ample shopping, dining, and entertainment options. The Redwood Steak House and Saloon is known for its mouth-watering prime rib and seasonal live entertainment. Many other quaint stores and family friendly taverns are part of the local scene.
