Bear’s Den is one of the larger cabins at Twin Lakes Shore Resort in Lewiston, Michigan. This 2.5 bedroom vacation cottage features a large, open living area with a sitting room, dining room and kitchen, a full bath with a shower, and a three season dining porch.

The cabin sits on knoll over looking West Twin Lake surrounded by tall trees within steps to the waterfront. The property includes a private-use picnic table and charcoal grill, as well as shared access to gas grill and nearby firepit & playground.

The kitchen at Bear’s Den is fully equipped with a full kitchen with butcher block island and modern appliances: a stove top, oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, freezer and refrigerator are included. The dining area includes both a two-top bar-height table with stools and a large dining table for eight.

The sitting room is furnished with a Lazy Boy queen sleep sofa, rocking chair, and a large, wall-mounted flat-screen TV. Two private bedrooms open off from the main living space. The bedrooms are furnished with a full-sized bed and a set of twin-sized bunk beds.

Unique Features

Along with a privatesetting and a clear view of beautiful West Twin Lake, Bear’s Den cottage offers access to a variety of complementary resort activities and amenities. These includes open-air sport courts for volleyball, badminton and basketball, a children’s play area, a sandy beach, boat docks and moorings, outdoor grills and firepits — not to mention adventure equipment such as canoes and a row boats with an option for renting an outboard motor.

Things To Do

Twin Lakes Shore Resort is conveniently located just a mile from the edge of downtown Lewiston, MI. This quaint community gathering place is home to a number of local shops, restaurants and taverns. The resort and cabins are also located within an easy day trip to nearby touristing destinations such as Traverse City and Mackinac Island.

The land that surrounds the cottages and lake is natural and part of the Mackinac State Forest, full of wildlife for a quiet spectator. Guests can expect to see eagles, loons, elk and deer, as well as other small creatures. Don’t forget your camera — or birding glasses — when you’re out roaming the scenic local hiking, mountain biking and ATV trails.

The lake itself provides hours and days of entertainment in all weather, from swimming, boating, skiing and tubing in the sun to beautiful sunsets and great fishing in the early spring and late fall. Common game fish in the area include trophy walleye, perch, bass and northern pike. The region is also a great place for spring morel mushroom hunting or fall grouse hunting.
