The Heron House is our 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom cottage that is one of six unique vacation rentals at the Sweethaven Resort. The living room, dining area and kitchen are open and spacious. The inside of The Heron House is filled with modern decor. The living room features a huge electric fireplace and a flat screen TV. Right off the living room is the connected dining room with a long table. The family cook will enjoy the large kitchen with updated appliances. Each bedroom has tons of natural light with unique touches.
Outdoor spaces where you can sit back and relax with your family and friends include the cozy front porch and the screened porch in the back of the vacation rental. The screened porch adds rustic charm to the property and 180 degree views of the trees. Sweethaven Resort is only a few minutes away from Lake Michigan!
Our renters love the private hot tub. Relax and observe the nature and wildlife that surrounds you. Sweethaven Resort has 9+ acres of wooded land with a tree house, horseshoe pit and volleyball court. At night, enjoy your own private bon-fire at the drop of a match. Roast marshmallows around the campfire under the stars.

During your stay at our lovely resort, you’ll have to explore Harbor Country. Enjoy Lake Michigan sandy beaches, entertainment, restaurants, shopping, nature watching, biking and hiking trails, golf courses, casinos, farmers markets and so much more. While kayaking down the Galien River, keep your eyes open for osprey and other wildlife. If you visit us during the fall you can pick pumpkins, hunt and observe the vibrant fall colors.
Book a winter getaway with us. Harbor Country is filled with cold weather but will create warm memories. The Harbert/Chikaming Park has free outdoor ice skating. Snowmobiling trails start from Baffalo, MI and go to Galien, MI. The snowmobile trails are clearly marked and groomed. Warrens Dunes State Park has cross country skiing and excellent slopes for tobogganing.
