It’s a great place to relax. The owners are a wonderful couple who cares about their customers. I have personally recommended this place to many people. Lynn Sacha-Celik
Sweethaven is a lovely getaway for a short weekend. The cabin's atmosphere is very calming, almost everything we needed was there. We have stayed in the autumn and also in the winter. Chuck and Liz are wonderful hosts. I highly recommend Sweethaven for any R&R you might need! Amy Stefani
Really enjoyed our few days at Sweethaven. We go to Union Pier every year but this was our first stay at Sweethaven. Beautiful grounds and paths, lots to do, very cozy and thoughtfully decorated cottage. It had everything we needed. Such a peaceful location. We will be back! Georgeanne Foradas Katsuleas
Adorable family resort. The wonderful owners go out of their way to provide lots of family games like badminton, croquet and volleyball and a fire pit, which were great for our teens. The dogs were welcomed and equally well provided for. Comfy cottages in a quiet location give you a fun place to relax and connect with each other. Dawn Haisma-Ostrem

Sweethaven Resort was originally built in the 1920s by the Vavra family and evolved over the years into the perfect summer retreat for visiting families from Chicago looking for a break from the big city. In the 90s Liz and Chuck Garasic bought the 5 cabins and 9 acres with the hopes of escaping their own city lives and renovated the space and added another cottage to create the B&B space seen today.
