You can easily swim from the pier/dock with its two sets of lake access ladders, or lounge on the grassy shoreline of this 450-acre all sports lake. Bring your fishing gear because the northern Michigan cottage comes with a fishing boat with trolling motor! The spring-fed lake has excellent angling for bass, bluegill, perch, pike and crappie. You can also bring your own boat and dock it at your private pier. You can back your car right up to the deck, there are only a few easy steps to the dock & water so those with limited ambulation don’t have to worry about high banks & tough stairs. You are safe & snug here.
There are two kayaks with life jackets and a paddleboat so you can leisurely explore the lake and maybe check out one of its five islands. A pontoon boat is also available for rent for an extra fee.
This sweet one bedroom Spider Lake cottage has 2 flat screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, a gas grill, fire pit and free firewood. A spacious deck across the front of the cabin has patio furniture where you can read your favorite book, play a board game, or just sit back and listen to the wind in the trees. The deck offers both shady and sunny spots for relaxing. The bedroom with queen bed has its own TV flat screen, so guests always have two TV show options.
The efficiency kitchen has a refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, silverware, cookware, dishes, and cooking utensils. You can dine out side on the picnic table, on the deck’s patio table/chairs, or at the living room coffee table if it is cold outside. Grill out on the gas grill or crank up the fire pit with the free wood and make your favorite S’more recipe or roasted hot dogs. Don’t forget to pack those skewers to make your mouth-watering creations.
Sleeping Arrangements: Bedroom 1 - queen bed. Living room sofa is a sleeper sofa. Our cottage is a popular site and often reserved 6-12 months in advance for summer vacations. We will have a link to our calendar up soon, meanwhile call or email.

A picnic table, patio furniture, gas grill, and a fire pit let you stay outside to enjoy al fresco dining and stargazing. What could be better?
It’s just a short drive to the Muncie Lake Pathway, a 11.5-mile trail where you can hike, bike or ski on groomed snow in the winter. There are 5 looped trail options rated for various experience levels. Mountain bikers will love the ride through a rolling terrain of hardwoods and pines with scenic views of small lakes and a trout stream. Fall is an especially nice time to visit, and be sure to stop in Courtad’s Bloomin’ Orchards for apples and cider after your hike or bike ride.
It’s just a 15 minute drive to Traverse City with every kind of entertainment venue you can imagine. Stop in and see the Crooked Tree Art Center gallery exhibits, try house samples at one of the local microbreweries, enjoy a “People’s Choice” bowl of soup at the Green House Cafe, or an award-winning slice of pie at Grand Traverse Pie Company.
