Unique Features

Why call it 2Lakes? This beautiful home sits on a hill surrounded by TWO lakes (Spider and Bass Lakes). You feel like you are on your own island, but you're on an isthmus. Let the stress melt away in the Nordic Hot Tub. Kayaks and a pontoon boat are available. The row boat is free. We have lots of water toys and a great lakeside deck. We have a ping pong table and Foosball table too!

Why call it your next vacation destination? The property has plenty of parking. Tip: park on the lower levels so you can enjoy the view. Fast WIFI. BOSE Acoustic Wave Radio. All the rooms in the home overlook the sparkling lakes - stunning views you will never forget. Leave the windows slightly open and listen to the loons.

Things To Do

During the fall season, you will enjoy gorgeous fall colors as you relax on 3 two big decks - overlooking Bass Lake. Spider lake is TOTALLY spring fed so it's very clear, sandy and clear. There are five islands on the lake, three are Public Islands and one is called Party Island - need we say any more. Bass Lake is under fished so the bass get plentiful and big. Also catch perch, crappie, walleye, pike, sunfish.

Thank your for sharing your home. We enjoyed the boat and the wonderful views. We even saw a deer right by our cars. The hot tub was great for the cooler nights, as was the fire pit. We all tried the kayaks - how peaceful! Thanks again Dave, Linda, Dan, Steph, Adam and Beck - Brownsburg, IN. We had a wonderful time. The weather was beautiful. We had 4 generations this week ages 1 to 86 and there was something fun for everyone to do. Thanks. The Schinkai family The cabin is amazing and the time spent here was lovely. The boats and great layout of the place and hot tub made the week restful and enjoyable for all of us. Thank you so much - VanDykes
Great cottage. We rented this for a gold week-end for 8 guys. Great space, lots of extra nice touches, like providing soaps, shampoos, etc in the bathrooms and coffee beans and a grinder for fresh coffee. Ray is also a great guy and provided great tips about the area. We will be back! Paul Sep 19

Ray and his home were wonderful! Ray greets you at the home and shows you the ropes/answers any questions and makes you feel right at home. The place is amazing with comfortable beds (all 13 of were able to sleep in beds which was amazing!) Ray responds quickly with any needs that may arise during your stay and makes check-in/check-out a breeze. The wild life and scenery were the icing on the top of the cake! Bottom line... Stay with Ray!!! We'll be back. Codi Sep 19

We had a great time at Spider Lake Cottage! There was so much to do for our large family, and plenty of room. The kids were never bored! Lots of extras included here. Thanks Ray! July 19
this house was better than we imagined! it was very clean, organized, and we loved the labeling throughout the house. it was wonderful having the big open windows to look out to the water surrounding the property. I cant recommend Ray and his team enough, they were kind and generous. We will be back again! Kristina Sep 18
Ray’s place was everything my group of 10 guys needed; amazing location, a yard with plenty of room for yard games, pontoon access, spacious, plenty of beds, even a smart TV so we could watch football on Sunday. it was the total package and Ray is an amazing host, was very fast to communicate and I never once hesitated, he made the trip stress free. Thanks Ray! Daniel Sep 18
Ray was very prompt in answering questions and he did everything to make sure our stay was comfortable. The cottage is at a great location and had all the amenities needed for a great summer break. We had a great time on the pontoon boat and also on the kayaks. The hot water tub was a hit. Kanika Sep 18
Very nice place to come to wether you’re going as couples. Or if you’re taking your kids on vacation. A lot of privacy and a peaceful area. Surrounded by water and forest land. The house was so clean. And was only 10 minutes from downtown traverse city. Everything you need plus more. Brandon Aug 18
Ray was amazing and was quick in resolving any concerns that arose while on our vacation. The sunrises and sunsets were simply breathtaking and made one realize how magnificent nature truly is. The cabin is not far from your local grocery store and essentials and near town. Victoria Sep 18
Our Spider Lake cottage stay from July 14 -21st was absolutely wonderful for my whole family! We had three generations staying at the cozy cottage and everyone enjoyed the memorable experience. Its a prime location right between two really nice lakes, which is why we picked it. My parents were celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary with their children/grandchildren. They enjoyed drinking coffee on the deck in the morning while watching the serene lakes and wildlife. My sister taught the grandchildren yoga on the bass lake lower deck and they later learned to kayak. Ray was a wonderful and attentive host who made us feel welcome and appreciated. We also fully enjoyed using the boat and having the kiddos enjoy tubing on Spider Lake. We used the fire pit to make some tasty smores and overall was a memorable time for my extended family.
