Lake Watch is a modern vacation rental located on one of the best beaches along the Lake Huron waterfront. At 1,900 square feet, this northern Michigan cottage offers comfortable living accommodations for seven guests near shopping, dining and sight-seeing in East Tawas, MI.
From beautiful gardens to a lake-view patio to a private sand beach, this Great Lakes cottage offers a unique outdoor living experience and stunning sunrise photography opportunities. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the sitting and dining rooms bring the lovely landscape in and fill the main living areas with natural light. A fully equipped kitchen and coffee bar makes meals “at home” a breeze, while a large flat-screen and a cozy fireplace are perfect for nights in.
Two guest bedrooms are located on the main floor and share one full bath between them. These rooms are furnished with a queen-sized bed in one and a twin-over-full bunk bed in the other. The master suite on the upper level has a king bed, a sauna and a second TV lounge.
All bed linens are included; it is recommended to bring along extra bath towels.
Rentals at Lake Watch include the use of our garage, so you’ll have safe, covered storage for bikes, kayaks or other equipment. This cottage is equipped with high-speed wireless internet and Roku on both smart TVs — guests are welcome to log into your own subscription and streaming services for movie nights.
A Caldera hot tub is available for guest use at an additional charge.
Lake Watch is settled along the gorgeous Lake Huron waterfront surrounded by a quiet community and a picturesque landscape. Hikers and bird watchers will love the trails and wilderness areas — bring your binoculars, and you’re likely to spot bald eagles, egrets and blue heron.
With your own private beach, you’ll have immediate access to swimming and sunbathing in warmer weather, not to mention the perfect place for picnics and games on our furnished back patio. This area is the perfect starting point for bike rides and kayaking trips, and there are some equipment rentals available nearby.
The Great Lakes are well known for some of the best freshwater fishing. Charter a boat and fishing guide, or explore the shoreline yourself. Lake Huron is also known for some of its famous shipwrecks — try something new with a scuba diving tour!
Other favorite activities in East Tawas and the neighboring Tawas City include shopping, antiques, and lighthouse driving tours. You’ll find plenty of local dining venues and sweet treats!
