Cabin 3 is directly on beautiful Mullett Lake! Cabin guests share a large dock system, as well as three mooring buoys so feel free to bring your boat and water toys for a great vacation at the lake. Your going to love the this area of great and diverse natural beauty. The resort amenities are shared by 3 lakeside cabins and 1 larger Main Cottage.

Unique Features

The North Central Trail is your neighbor! Just a few steps from the resort and you’re ON THE TRAIL. Bring your bikes, running or walking shoes. This beautiful 61-mile trail has become one of the premier cycling trails in the Midwest and it runs right along the west side of Mullet Lake.

The Smith Family Resort is one of the few lake resorts left in the area. What a great opportunity to experience a taste of nostalgia on the lake.

Things To Do

Your vacation in one of our waterfront vacation rental homes in the Tip-of-the-Mitt region will be one to remember. There’s plenty to do right here at the resort: Mullett Lake has a sandy bottom so swimming and snorkeling is common. Mullett Lake is great for every kind of boating fun, including swimming, fishing, skiing, etc. Mullett Lake is part of the 42 mile inland lake system of lakes and rivers so there’s plenty of shoreline to fish and explore.

Since you book directly with us at Northern Lakes Property Management One, our friendly staff can provide travel tips for what to see and do near Gaylord and Mackinaw City, Vanderbilt, Wolverine, Indian River, Topinabee, and Cheboygan where there are plenty of amenities. Welcome to the Gateway to the Inland Waterway where Lighthouse tours, relaxing on the waterfront or spending the day shopping and dining in our many unique shops and restaurants is encouraged.

Things to Remember: No fireworks of any kind are permitted on resort grounds. Renters bring sheets, pillow cases, bath towels.
