We have 150' of lakefront, a 100’ dock, rowboats and oars, boat moorings, and a fish cleaning station.

Houghton Lake is the lake name and the town name and Cabin 2 is near both! Stay and play here all day or take a break and explore the gently rolling hills and valleys where a wealth of wildlife, wilderness and small town flavors are waiting for you. Ask us about Fall color tour, Historical Museums, Zubler's Indian Pow Wow, Rocking Horse Gift Shop and Homemade Fudge. Art shows have both local artists, as well as artists from all over the state.
No matter how you fill your day, you’ll end each day at a resort that offers one of the best views of Houghton Lake. A covered porch with swing and cabin picnic table.
Fire up the charcoal grill and wow your family and friends with a great dinner. A bit later, head down to the lakeside fire pit and plan activities for the next day. You might end up on one of the 5 area golf courses or hiking near 2 other lakes; Higgins Lake & Lake St. Helen (Crappie, Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Brown Trout). There are great public beaches that include swimming, children toys, barbecue pits and sheltered picnic areas.
Things to remember: Your own bedding, towels, toiletries, and other personal items. Remember to send your inquiry early as prime summer weeks fill up very early!
