Experience one of the best views of Houghton Lake at North Bay Landing. Relax in a covered porch with swing, or enjoy the outdoors and do some lake watching from the picnic table. Better yet, grab the rowboats and oars and get out there. You’re in sportsman’s fishing and boating paradise after all. The evenings dinner could include walleye, pike, bass or bluegill. Bringing your boat? There are seven boat launches.
Time goes by pretty quick around here, so take time to enjoy the resort amenities. The beach, basketball court, volleyball court, horseshoe pit, lakeside fire pit, and swing-set are great areas to stay and play.
Cabin 1 is one of seven 2-bedroom cottages and one 3-bedroom house at the resort. You’ll find a refrigerator, stove, coffee maker, toaster, basic pots, pans, and dishes.
Sleeping arrangement: Queen and a full sized bed in the bedrooms plus a full sized pullout futon.
North Bay Landing is situated on Michigan’s Other Great Lake – Houghton Lake, in the North Bay. Our guests tell us it’s the perfect place for a couple's getaway, a family vacation, or a big family reunion. Of course the fishing on Houghton Lake and area lakes are legendary for Lake Trout, Perch, Crappie, Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Bluegill, Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Walleye, Northern Pike and more.
On the lake and close to town: Visit the casual and fine dining establishments and unique shops.
With 150' of lakefront, a 100’ dock with rowboats and oars, boat moorings, and a fish cleaning station, plan on spending lots of time on the lake fishing, swimming, water skiing. What a great place to be for the spectacular sunsets.
If fun, fishing, fireworks and festivals are part of your cabin time, then the Houghton Lake area is the ultimate destination. State parks, historical sites, theaters, trails, and beaches. hike and bike, golf and shop, canoe and swim. Stick around the cabin and lake and have fun at the resort, or take a day trip and explore the gently rolling hills and valleys of Roscommon County. This would be a good time to check out Higgins Lake State Park and Lake St. Helen.
