Unique Features

Cottage 4 is situated in the North Bay, with 150 feet of lakefront to enjoy. How special is this area? The National Geographic Society says Houghton Lake and 5 nearby lakes are the most beautiful lake in the world. Even though our resort is open spring, summer and fall; Roscommon County a world-class four-season vacation destination.

If the summer sun is to hot for you then the covered porch with swing is a great place to cool off and still enjoy the best view of the lake. Still to hot? Take a short walk to the sand beach and wade around our sandy shores.

Ask us about the Come Catch Us If You Can Fishing Contest. The prizes are huge: $250,000 and new Lund boat. Houghton Lake (Michigan’s other great lake) is full of surprises.

Things To Do

Enjoy the water and woods! You can hike, bike and enjoy resort amenities right here. Activities for all ages and interests. Experience unique shopping and dining, tennis courts, area beaches (great public beaches that include swimming, children toys, barbecue pits), historical sites, and festivals. The Historic Playhouse and the Kirkland Center offer live plays, musical concerts, community events and more. The Pines Theatre is a Log Cabin Chalet and it look like a hunter's cabin.
