With 2900 Sq. ft. of living space and a private dock proudly looking over an azure lake, Lakeside Retreat is the perfect getaway for a large family or group looking to have plenty of room to spread out and enjoy their vacation.
Although outdoors on the water might be the preferable place to spend a sunny afternoon in this location, visitors will find plenty of space to spend time inside of the vacation home, as well. On the main level, choose between the sun room, well-stocked kitchen, family room, or dining room to have a meal with family or settle down for the afternoon with a cup of coffee and a book or magazine. The kitchen includes access to a coffee maker, microwave, toaster, toaster oven, blender and other amenities that you might expect to find at home. On the lower level, the second family room leads out to a walkout patio.
The cottage sleeps a total of 11, with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. On the main level, there is a master with an attached suite. The other bedroom - which contains two full beds - has direct access to the second bathroom on this floor. In the walk out lower level there are two bedrooms (one with a queen-sized bed, and one with a king-sized bed) and a third bathroom. 9' ceiling in walkout make it feel even larger.
Amenities include two gas fire places, main floor washer and dryer, air conditioning, hair dryers in each bathroom, Wi-Fi, large deck and patio and more.
The large upper level deck has a table with an umbrella and seating for 6. There are 2 chaise lounges and a propane gas grill for outdoor cooking.
Additionally, there are 4 chairs located in the sunroom that can be moved out to the deck for larger groups.
In the summer, a green lawn stretches out around the house towards the private dock, which extends over the lake. With a private swing and picnic table also overlooking the lake, the atmosphere can best be described as being in a beautiful public park that has suddenly become private - just for you and your friends or family to enjoy.
There are plenty of chairs that are available in the walk out that can be moved outdoors to enjoy.
There is also a firepit, picnic table with umbrella and a lawn swing at waters edge.
Spending time on the property might be your first priority while staying at this vacation home. However, if you wish to venture out into the broader area, Sugar Springs has plenty to offer that will make your stay an exciting one. Only a few miles north of Detroit, Sugar Springs has been described as feeling like a secret hideaway, with plenty of amenities to offer but yet separate from the big city.
Lake Lancelot will certainly bring Arthurian legends to mind as you look out over the cool, clear water. Or, if you’re into any water sports at all, you will likely be able to find the opportunity for swimming, bating., tubing, or whatever else interests you. There is even a local saltwater pool, if swimming laps is more your thing than splashing aroundLakeside. (guest fee to use pool and exercise room is required.)
Interested in more than just time on the water while you’re here? There is also an airpark and a golf course. The best place to get a meal is The Hearth, the restaurant where you can get everything from steak to pizza to a soup and salad; they have it all!
