Welcome to the beautiful Pictured Rocks area. The Waters Edge suite is close to Sand Point Beach, Munising Falls and Municing. The beach is a very popular spot for tourists and locals. How popular? It was voted one of the “Top Five Summer Beaches in America” (The Weather Channel). The majestic Pictured Rocks cliffs that soar up to 200' high can be experienced by trail or by water.
Though the Waters Edge suite is closed in the winter - activities and events during spring, summer and fall will fill any vacationer’s calendar. Picnicking, boating/fishing, swimming, canoeing, mountain biking and hiking in the Hiawatha National Forest can’t be beat. Explore an island! One-half mile from Munising, Michigan is Grand Island where you can see 2 historic lighthouses and natural beauty.
The Hiawatha National Forest is the perfect backdrop for 40 miles of scenic horseback riding trails. With so many hiking and cross-country skiing trails to choose from you might want to get a locals opinion on the different skill levels available - just ask. The incredible North Country National Scenic Trail passes through the Hiawatha National Forest too.
