Sunset Cove is a two story, three-bedroom, three-bathroom vacation home that sits right on 16 Mile lake! Our home is the perfect family getaway for both summer and winter breaks! Ideally this home better accommodates groups of 6 or smaller! The aesthetic that we were going for was a very rustic cabin with the wooden interior! The mint green that is in one of the bedrooms gives off that beachy feel that’ll surely make you feel like you are on vacay!
The kitchen is spacious with a long island! This is perfect for cooking and serving family meals! Don’t worry, we provide all the utensils that you may need to cook those amazing home cooked meals! The kitchen also includes a microwave, Keurig, coffee maker and more! The six-person dining room table sits right in front of a window that overlooks the lake! You’ll be able to enjoy breakfast or dinner while looking out at that beautiful view.
The living room area is cozy and has plenty of seating. Perfect for cuddling up on the couch and watching a movie on the flatscreen TV!
All bedrooms have fresh linens and flatscreen TV’s to enjoy some late night tv watching!
Unique Features
Sunset Cove has enough outside room to park your car and or attached trailer! We have a private boat ramp, which means you can bring your boat to enjoy the lake! We also have two lawn chairs that overlook the lake and a fire pit that would be perfect for those cool summer nights or cold winter mornings! You’ll have access to our dock too! There is also a washer and dryer machine in the home as well.
Things To Do
There are so many things to do in the area! You and your family will never have a boring day! Come out and explore all of the beautiful small waterfalls on Grand Island! Then once you are done exploring them, check out the larger waterfalls that are alongside the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore! They're absolutely breathtaking! Be ready to take out your camera at all times because you are going to be taking a lot of photos!
The historical lighthouses that are all around are perfect for viewing the structure of them and snapping pictures of the outside interior and the inside!
If you are an adrenaline junkie, you’ll definitely enjoy the many scuba diving areas in the Great Lakes as well! Who knows, maybe you’ll get to swim next to sharks!
Grand island is the perfect area for not only kayaking but for hiking, biking, fishing and so much more! You can literally spend an entire day out there and not run out of things to do!
If you want to discover more about the area, you should take a Munising tour! You’ll be able to learn educational and historical facts! If you are a photographer this would be great for you! You’ll be able to capture all of the amazing views that are around too!

Rates are based on 6 guests including children. Each additional guest will incur a fee of $25/night, plus an additional cleaning charge of $25 for parties of more than 6.
One-half of the total rental amount is due upon reservation.
A refundable security/damage fee is required to hold the cabin.
Cancellations of summer rentals (June through August) will receive no refund after May 1.
Cancellations during all other times of the year will receive a refund less a cancellation fee up to 45 days prior to the scheduled arrival date.
Cancellations made within 45 days of the scheduled arrival date may not be refunded unless we are able to rebook the property.
