Docs Place is in downtown Munising, so you’re walking distance of shops, restaurants, Bayshore Park and trails. Check out the live music at the Falling Rock Cafe. If swimming or walking along the beach is on your summer vacation list, then head to Sand Point. Take a private watercraft or ferry to Grand Island for lesson in natural beauty and history. A winter visit is not complete without playing on the Rapid River Cross-Country Ski Trails - the best way to experience the Hiawatha National Forest.
“Adventure Peninsula's” scenic wilderness areas are a short drive away. All of our Upper Peninsula vacation homes are located in the Hiawatha National Forest - the heart of the Pictured Rocks National (15 mile) Lakeshore. This is your chance to get to know the hilly shoreline, 17 waterfalls, and natural archways between Munising and Grand Marais, Michigan. Other adventures include a Shipwreck Tour, Grand Island Tour, scuba diving, and biking.

Spring rates run from April to mid to end of May at $225 - $395/night.
Summer rates run from June to August (after Labor Day week) at $425/night or $2,795/week, with weekly rentals running Saturday to Saturday.
Fall rates run from After Labor day week to mid-December at $275/night.
Winter rates run from mid-December to March at $275/night.
Stays over Holidays may require a higher rate and longer stay.
Rates are based on eight guests including children; each additional guest adds $150/week per stay.
Cleaning fee is $275. Groups of more than eight guests also add on an extra $25 for cleaning. Pets: $25 per night or $150 per week.
One-half of the total rental amount is due upon reservation. A refundable security/damage fee is required to hold the cabin.
Cancellations of summer rentals (Memorial weekend through Labor Day) will receive no refund.
Cancellations during all other times of the year will receive a refund less a cancellation fee up to 45 days prior to the scheduled arrival date.

Three of us stayed at Doc's Place for about a week in August. The place is fabulous. Well stocked with everything for cooking and relaxing. My only suggestions would be to replace the frying pans (everything sticks to them no matter how much oil or butter you put in the pan); also it would be nice if the bedrooms had a dresser to store clothes and a nightstand next to the bed. Other than those suggestions, the place is a winner. I and my friends would definitely stay there again if we ever ge up that way in the future - Charles Slesinger
Absolutely Loved It!!! Doc's Place was perfect for our winter XC Ski Vacation! Proximity to the ski trails at Valley Spur made it so convenient and being on the main road, the plow kept it clear so we could get out, no problem. The place itself is gorgeous, clean, and has everything you need. Beds are comfortable! Gas fireplace is such a nice touch--we enjoyed this every day! Loved the historic feel to this place, along with all the modern conveniences. Hope to come back next year! Cheryl B
