Sandy bottom and shallow water depth at our shoreline make it ideal for families with small children. The lakefront fire pits are popular resort areas to watch the beautiful sunsets. Tons of things to do, so the kids will never get bored.
Elk Cabin is a modern housekeeping unit and is completely furnished. Guests will find home away from home amenities like carpeting, TV, refrigerator, coffee maker, gas furnace, water heater, stove and microwave oven. Shake off the winter chill next to the wood burning fireplace.
Please bring your own bed linen, towels, soap and paper products.
Our Driftwood Resort is located on the quiet North Shore of the lake too. Get ready for some fishing, sailing, canoeing, kayaking. You can bring your boat, our we can hook you up with a fishing boat with outboard motor. Like fishing after dark? Our resort dock and parking area is lit at night.
The lakefront Elk Cabin has a large porch so you can keep an eye on the lake activities. If you need more room for extra family or friends, ask about renting one of our other resort cabins - we have 9 rentals at the Driftwood Resort on Houghton Lake.
Enjoy all the resort amenities: Grass recreation area for yard games, horseshoes, bocce ball, shuffleboard courts, swings, tether ball, sand box, a large play set, basketball and more. If a little rain moves in, you can too: Our new ACE's Perch recreational building has ping-pong, air hockey, darts, board games. We can help your plan a ladies 'crafty' weekend, or a fantastic lakefront wedding.
