Your modern two-story lakefront vacation home is located on 80’ of private white sandy beach on Upper Herring Lake near Traverse City. This cottage-style 2,000 sq ft. home was built in 2004 and has four bedrooms/2 baths complete with beautiful hardwood flooring, ceramic tile, and finishing touches of tongue and groove pine planking. The master bedroom contains its own light-filled relaxation area with panoramic views of the lake.
You’ll never tire of the stunning sunsets on the lake from the dining room, living room, back deck area, the outdoor picnic table, or the comfortable lounge chairs on your own private beach. You may even see an eagle soaring above the water that nests nearby.
The fully equipped modern kitchen contains a stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, cooking utensils, and dishes. There is a separate laundry room with a washer/dryer. The dining room table seats six with 2 more seats are the kitchen breakfast island.
Sleeping Arrangements: Bedroom 1 main level has a queen bed; Bedroom 2 upper level has a queen bed; Bedroom 3 upper level has a single bunk bed/full futon; Bedroom 4 upper level has a single bunk bed; living room with 2 full futons for more room (1 pack and play for children).
Your private beachfront. Home includes the use of a free pontoon boat w/10 gal free fuel, (Memorial week til Mid October), kayaks (May 1st til Nov 1st), pedal boat (April 1st til Nov 15th), a full dock with room for your boat (Mid-May til Nov 1st), and life jackets so you can fully explore Upper Herring Lake.
The vacation home’s recreational amenities also include a full dock, fire pit, grill, swing set, sand box, and chaise lounges.
The Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore is a “must see” excursion with over 72,000 acres of pristine protected sand dunes and 65 miles of lakeshore. The dunes are host to many rare and endangered plant species, including the pink lady slipper orchid. Canoe on one of the inland lakes or hike on a trail through a forest for exceptional bird and wildlife viewing. You’ll find plenty of restaurants and shopping along the way in Empire, Glen Arbor and Leland.
