If you’re group loves outdoor recreation, then leaving the solitude of Black Mountain Recreational Area might be hard. It’s paradise for deer hunting, bird and small game hunting, even wild turkey and bear. Snowmobile right from the cabin on Trail 99 and access over 500 miles of groomed snowmobile trails for hours of winter adventure. Try catching dinner at Black Lake, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, northern pike, muskellunge, yellow perch.
Go horseback riding through the flats and over the hills of the Black Mountain Recreation Area. Cross country skiers have their choice of routes for every skill level in your group - the majestic pines are covered with thick white powder, and views of Black Lake are worth every glide. Spring through fall hiking is peaceful and a great time to drift down the Indian River in kayaks and canoes,

We loved our stay here! The pictures really do not do it justice. Everything was so clean and comfortable and was perfect for 5 adults. We enjoyed cooking out on the grill and playing corn hole in the large backyard. They really have thought of everything that one could possibly need. We will absolutely stay again next time we are up visiting!!

We stayed in this home for a long weekend for pontoon boating and a charter fishing trip. This place is very very clean and well supplied with all of your needs. Not a spec of dust or dirt to be found. The fenced in yard was great to have our 20 lb. dog run around along with a super enjoyable place to sit and enjoy a BBQ and a bonfire. We also got to enjoy nature by a visit from a fawn, fox, birds, chipmunks, squirrels, and I'm sure some others around the outside of the yard. Michele B.
What a great place for a relaxing get away!! Mike was very helpful and accommodating. The home was extremely clean and stocked with every amenity you could think of (and then some!). You can tell Mike has put a lot of thought into making this the perfect vacation home. The large fenced yard is perfect for outdoor games, kids or dogs to play, or just drinking your morning coffee. Quick drive to Cheybogan and many hiking trails. We enjoyed visiting nearby Ocqueoc Falls and hiking the Lake Huron lakeshore in Cheboygan State Park. My husband and I stayed there for 4 nights for our honeymoon and we brought our dog with us. The house was beautiful, and plenty of yard for our dog to run around. We had a bonfire every night and I laid in the hammock, it was so peaceful. The sheets smelled wonderful and the towels were nice and fluffy. The bathroom even had a jet tub that was amazing. The owners were extremely nice and helpful, they suggested plenty of things to do and places to eat. We would definitely stay there again. Kayla L.

Mike has amazing home and is very responsive when you contact him with a question. He has everything set up very well and the location is great for getting away and very close to the orv/snowmobie trails. They had plenty of firewood and the grill even had an extra tank incase you run out. I would definitely recommend this property to someone visiting the area and hope to be able to get back there again. William A.
There’s not much more I can say about this property that all the other reviews say. It is Top Notch! Like staying in a 5 star hotel. But in the country. The owner thinks of everything. My husband and daughter stayed July 9-11. Along with our lab. The accommodation were Fabulous! We brought up our 4 wheelers and dirt bike. There are so many trails just out the door. We had an outstanding stay at this location! We enjoyed every detail of this home! The fenced in backyard was great for our little kids to play in without us worrying about them getting into trouble! There were four adults, two six-year-olds, and two babies and we had plenty of space! The beds were super comfy.
