It also means there is no fishing or hunting permitted on the property. Our family really enjoyed our time at the Acorn Lodge. It’s a beautiful place in a lovely setting! We had so much fun sledding down the hill in the backyard! Very novel for us, being from the South and not seeing snow very often. The river walk was very nice. Loved meeting the owners who are so friendly, thoughtful, and accommodating. Hope to return here someday! — Jane F., Nov. 2018
We had a group of 8 adults (4 couples) that came together to spend some quality time in a relaxing, peaceful setting. The ACORN LODGE was perfect! It was clean, spacious, well maintained and exactly what we were hoping for. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own privacy yet open enough to all be together whether we were inside or out! We enjoyed all the home had to offer. From the pool table to the fire pit and beyond through the trails out back, we utilized it all! The guys even had a corn hole tourney on the side of the house by the basement walk out. I plan a trip for our group every year and we always go somewhere different. I would definitely recommend this beautiful home and its setting to anyone who enjoys nature and loves the people they are sharing it with! Thanks again Bob and Linda for sharing your home with us! — Annett S., Sept. 2018
We all loved the property and the house. We enjoyed the fire pit, hot tub, the hikes, played some family games is the grassy area, and my son brought a slip and slide that he and the little kids really enjoyed. Eating outside on the picnic table and enjoying the back deck was great too. Some of the family enjoyed the sauna, pool table and piano. If we are up in that area again we would most certainly stay again. Thanks for a good week. — Steve S., Aug. 2018
We had a two night stay in August to gather family members from around Michigan and Ohio. The house sleeps 15, and we used every bed. We never felt crowded, and found everything we needed somewhere in the house. My only caveat, was that the upstairs was warm and the lower level was cold. Plan accordingly. — Catherine E., Aug. 2018
The Acorn lodge is the perfect sliceof Up North close to the cities. Plenty of amenities and activities never gave us a dull moment. — Cameron D., Aug. 2018
We had a large family getaway at the Acorn Lodge and it was wonderful for us all! We enjoyed everything this home has to offer and the sauna, pool table, and hot tub were great. The house is very clean and well taken care of and doesn’t disappoint in any way. Thankful to have had the opportunity to stay at the Acorn Lodge. — Jessica M., July 2018
Great property, well maintained, very enjoyable stay! We celebrated our 20 year wedding anniversary with our very close friends. The house was perfect for our needs! The check in was easy, Linda walked us through the house and explained everything we had to know. — Rita D., July 2018
Every detail was considered and covered. The house was perfect for us, and the communication with the owner was fantastic. We will stay again! — Bill S., June 2018
We spent two nights at the Acorn Lodge with the girls as a bachelorette retreat before my sister’s wedding. The house is absolutely gorgeous and we could not have asked for a more secluded and relaxing setting. Even though we didn’t spend much time outdoors, just waking up to the birds and sun rising through the trees as we drank our coffee was wonderful. Although the hot tub wasn’t working for our stay (we knew this when we booked and Bob called me the morning of to make sure we were aware) the sauna was perfect and everyone had a great time. Linda was so helpful when we had an issue with the DVD player and made sure that we had absolutely everything we needed. We did not get to meet Bob, unfortunately, but he was helpful during the booking process as well. I already have and will definitely continue to recommend the Acorn Lodge and hopefully come back! — Alexis R., March 2018
