Pontoon Boat available to rent for week!

This is a wonderful cottage on Paradise Lake. The property description online is very accurate. Our kids absolutely loved everything about it. We relaxed by the fireplace, grilled our meals, swam, boated on the pontoon, caught tons of fish, and loved every minute. We are already trying to decide when we can go back. If you are considering staying here, do not hesitate. You will not be disappointed. - Katie
Wow! What an awesome place to stay. Secluded and quiet. Beautiful cottage that is decorated with cabin like feel. Comfortable beds too! Our dogs, Desi and Sparty, loved riding on the pontoon. Plus, we were able to view the eclipse from the boat!!! It was great!! Mackinac bridge is only 5 minutes away. Do yourself a favor and rent this place and leave all your worries behind. - Michelle
Loved this theme decorated fishing style cottage. A little tight w 6 and a dog, but w are close family. Played tennis every day across the street and evening cruises on the pontoon at night! Great rental for the cost! - Ken
I'm SO glad that I get to write a review after reading the previous one because it gives me the opportunity to assure anyone else considering Acorn Cottage that it is, in fact, a WONDERFUL place to stay! The house is very clean, light & super cozy. We were all very comfortable. The view of the lake from the two decks is beautiful & we spent a lot of time fishing & cruising the lake on the pontoon, which was also very clean. Not sure what the previous reviewer meant by it being on "a dirt road". The road is paved & the cottage was very easy to find. Carp Lake is close to a ton of fun activities and gorgeous natural attractions. My family & I all agreed that we'd love to return! Thanks for sharing your beautiful cottage! - William
We had a wonderful week in Acorn Cottage. First couple of days the weather was unusually hot for the area - no breeze! We made good use of the existing fans, and were glad we brought a couple of box fans with us for this level of heat for sleeping. By Monday the weather broke and it was breezy and beautiful. We enjoyed the deck and the lake very much. Nice proximity to Sturgeon Bay and Mackinac Island - where we had great days and made memories. Highly recommend. - Lynette

About the Owner/Manager

We purchased this cottage in 2005. When we first looked at the cottage with a realtor, I thought I saw something under one of the bedroom mattresses. Upon closer inspection, I found ten neat little rows of acorns. Then I opened a dresser drawer and it was filled with more acorns deposited by a local chipmunk as its winter feast! You’ll find those same acorns in an airtight jar on the fireplace mantle of the Acorn Cottage. However, the chipmunks stay outside now!
