Fishing in the area is likely to turn up walleye, northern pike, yellow perch, brown trout and smallmouth bass.
The area is also shot through with nature trails, ideal for exploring on foot or with bicycles, cross-country skis, ATVs or snowmobiles. The Corsair Trail is kept groomed year-round and covers 44 miles of scenic walkways. The cottage was very nice and clean. We had a beautiful view of the lake. The tv wasn’t working when we were there. There was a phone message left in my home phone on Thursday saying someone from the cable company was going to be there, but no one called me in my cell phone. No one from the cable company showed up. Also, all the sinks, tub and toilet were very rust stained. I understand this happening, but I have stayed at other cottages in the area that haven’t had this. — Kathleen, August 18, 2018
When we booked our vacation, the cottage was called Tina and Jeff’s beach house. We were pleased with the overall experience. The sandy beach and shallow lake front were wonderful. The out dated electric was a bit of a challenge. Trying to figure the TV system was a challenge as well. The DVD player was not plugged-in, so we had to purchase an extension cord. In spite of device issues, we enjoyed a wonderful vacation. We would certainly mark this as a spot to revisit. — Janet, August 8, 2018
We absolutely love this rental and property. The view of the beach is simply the best. This two little bedroom beach house is the perfect little size for a smaller family. Very relaxing lake view from the living room and lots of sand on the waterside of the house to enjoy. We really enjoyed all of our time at the beach here but especially our morning walks on the shoreline. — Kelly, July 7, 2018
We found the house to be clean and comfortable. The view was beautiful, and we always had a nice breeze. We slept really well as the beds were very comfortable and the house was cool. You didn't need to have the fans on. We will do this again in the future as we enjoyed the quiet. I had to give this a 4 on overall experience because we were without cable for two days. The electric went down for several hours and we lost phone wi-fi. The phone wi-fi and electric came back on but by the time we left the cable was still out. We realize this wasn't the fault of owners, but it was an inconvenience to us. Other than that, it was a five on everything else. — Audrey & Ron, June 18, 2018
Took my two dogs with me and we all enjoyed our weekend, except for the water, the house could really use a whole house water filter or at least provide a Pur or Brita pitcher. After reading another review I decided to take a couple of gallons of filtered water along just in case and was glad I did, but I would consider renting it again despite the water issue, the view out the living room window was great. — Val, May 29, 2018
