Cabin 2 at Northern Exposure Resort is one of three family cabins located lakeside in Curtis, MI. This two-bedroom cottage on Big Manistique Lake is fully furnished and provided with bed linens — guests will need to provide their own kitchen and bath towels. The main living area of this single-story home features an open floorplan with a corner kitchen, a sit-down dining area and a cozy sitting room.
The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, dishes, pots and pans and utensils — everything you could need to prepare your own meals during your stay. The dining area includes an oval table and chairs for four. The sitting room is furnished with a plush sofa and arm chairs and cable TV — just in case. Each cabin at Northern Exposure Resort has a small, level grassy lawn and a private area for sunning, grilling or dining out of doors.
There is also a large campfire pit situated near the lake’s edge. Firewood is provided so the spot is ready for use whenever the whim strikes. These homes have plenty of space for parking — so pack up the family, along with boats, trailers and RVs and come enjoy a long weekend in the U.P. — complete with hunting, fishing, swimming, exploring, or just relaxing with a view.
Sleeping arrangements: Two private bedrooms at Cabin 2 are furnished with a queen-sized bed and two twin-sized beds, respectively. A full size futon sleeper in the living area too. An additional mattress can be provided upon request.
Cabin rentals at Northern Exposure Resort include the added convenience of a 14-foot fishing boat, perfect for cruising the waters of Big Manistique Lake. Guests also have access to an outdoor grill, picnic tables, lawn chairs, shared paddle boats and canoes, volleyball and badminton courts and other outdoor activities. There is even a private, sandy swimming area.
Curtis is centered in a beautiful region of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, surrounded by the six Manistique Lakes — the largest lake complex in the U.P. The Manistique Lakes Area is also home to a number of exciting local events that draw tourists from far away — inquire with us at the resort for current event dates, including Independence Day Parades, Art Festivals, Octoberfest, the Walleye Jamboree, and many others.
