Connected to the house, an open sun porch is furnished with an outdoor dining table and chairs.
Sunset Place is a quiet home on Stylus Lake, which is known to be a good fishing spot for largemouth bass, northern pike, walleye and bluegill. The lake reaches 30 feet at its deepest point and covers 179 acres — lots of beautiful area to explore in canoes!
The property is part of Ogemaw county and located less than 20 miles from the West Branch outlet mall and just 10 miles from the smaller town of Hale, where visitors can browse the quaint downtown area and enjoy the local eateries. This cottage is also roughly 20 minutes from the public Lake Huron beaches as Tawas. Trails are available in the area for hiking and cross-country skiing. Other popular attractions include the River Road Scenic Byway, a 22-mile stretch of highway that winds along the Au Sable River and the bluffs. The Au Sable River runs through the Huron National Forest and is ideal for canoeing, kayaking or floating along in a tube to enjoy the scenery.
Hale is home to the Lumberman’s Monument in the Huron-Manistee National Forest, where visitors can climb through a log jam, work a crosscut saw, and learn about the life and work of loggers.
