What’s a lake cabin without some on-water toys? Use our boat, kayak, canoe and get on the water for some fishing & swimming. The lake has good pan fishing with an occasional bass, pike or walleye for a memorable fish fry! Even our electric is unique: it’s Solar Electric! We encourage guests to utilize the propane gas lights in the Lodge for a truly unique experience; the light reflecting off the natural pine finish is amazing and romantic too. It’s an off-the-grid, lakeside environment.
In addition to our Lodge, we also own a cabin. We have a UP Vacation Rental that’s perfect for larger groups in the center of Iron County. Guests like our convenience to a small town only minutes away - Crystal Falls.

Deer, bear and grouse are common and you might just spot a moose visiting the lake. Don’t forget to pack the hot dogs and s'mores! Fill your days with hiking the trails & scenic vistas on your private acreage (you can look out over the Paint River valley see see Crystal Falls, MI 5 miles away!) Also listen for the TRAIN WHISTLE, then go to the north end of the lake and watch the train cross part of the lake.

We love it up there! We plan to return to the cabin in May of 2019. You make things very comfortable and enjoyable. I would recommend you to anyone. We were even considering asking if you rent it in the winter to maybe do some ice fishing. Ken
this was our honeymoon. This lodge has everything including privacy. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this property and plan to return as soon as possible. We hiked, hunted, fished and loved the privacy. The lodge is sparking clean and everything is provided. We enjoyed eating fresh fish and partridge. We saw deer, bear, eagles and heard the coyotes/wolves. The owners respected our privacy and even allowed us to archery hunt deer in an enclosed baited blind. We wanted a secluded/wilderness honeymoon with all the amenities and we were completely satisfied. -Dick, Southwest Michigan
The cabin on the lake is amazing. Very quiet and relaxing and the cabin has all the comforts of home. The owners were tremendously helpful and went out of their way to answer all of our questions before and during our stay! Our family of five caught plenty of fish, saw wild life, swam in the lake and relaxed. The location is perfect for day trips to other areas of the U.P. As well. Thanks Dave and Nancy for making our stay so great! - Dan A., Walker MI
I thoroughly enjoyed the stay and hope to go back next year. Dave Young was extremely helpful and the lake was gorgeous. My wife and three kids and I had a great time. Everyone caught a fish. - John M
Our family recently stayed here for a week and were so taken aback by how wonderful the cabin and surrounding area were! We were able to hear the whippoorwills at night and even heard the wolves howling! The place was sparkling clean and being a fully stocked house makes it easy to prepare meals and have a place big enough for the whole family to enjoy. There are also so many scenic trips to take and everything in the area is full of breathtaking sights. The lake is also very nice and the fish are plentiful! We will definitely be trying to come back as soon as possible. - Josh, Coopersville, MI
This place totally blew us away! It is simply incredible! The cabin is neat, clean, and in such a beautiful setting. The fish were plentiful, and we were immersed in nature. Everything was in working order in the cabin. The sleeping quarters were cozy and homey. The kitchen area and living room were very nicely furnished. The owners were very pleasant, communicate well, and were always a text away if we needed anything. You can tell that they put a lot of time into making this place what it is. When we arrived, they showed us how everything operated in the cabin, asked us if we needed anything further, and left us alone with nature. The place is extremely private and relaxing. We were so impressed, and will definitely be returning some day. It was a great vacation. - Ken H
