Our guest have access to two paddle boats and a 14-foot aluminum fishing boat at no additional charge. We want our guests to experience and explore the stunning Houghton Lake for themselves. As the resort owners (Rick and Nancy), we invite you to build memories with your friends and family at our resort during any season - open year-round.

Things To Do

Houghton Lake provides year-round fun for the entire family! Seasonal activities include canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hiking, golfing, boating, geocaching, and hunting. In this fishing paradise you can expect to find Lake Trout, Crappie, Perch, Smallmouth and Large Mouth Bass, Walleye, Bluegill, and more. Reserve our pontoon boat during your stay! Available for daily or weekly rental.

Popular winter activities include snowmobiling, cross country - downhill skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, and winter festivals. This area provides roughly 200 miles of groomed snowmobile trails, this is why thousands of snowmobilers take a trip here every winter. For cross country skiing, our area has family friendly trails as well as more advanced trails. Downhill skiing is always a blast! Ask us about Tip-Up-Town USA.

I have gone to Houghton Lake since the early 60's and we found Fought's Resort a few years ago on our way home from Canada. We love the resort! The property is manicured and the cabins are spotless clean with necessary modern amenities while maintaining cottage charm. Jennifer Woerner Sunderhaus
