The Lake Huron depth stays shallow for quite a ways out, so swimming and wading is safe and fun. Lake levels they may be higher or lower than photographed. Our beach cottages are just a few miles north of Oscoda and the Ausable River. While touring the area look for the Sunrise Side Wine and Hops Trail :)
Imagine the sunrises at these Lake Huron cabins. You’ll know why they call it the Sunrise Coast. Enjoying the beach all day is common at these Lake Huron cottages. But, we should introduce you to your neighbors, Huron National Forest and the AuSable River Valley. Find beautiful lakes, rushing rivers, and abundant wildlife - go from the beach to “back to nature” in minutes. Local favorites also include the Wurtsmith Air Museum, River Road Scenic Byway, and Tawas Point and Sturgeon Point lighthouses.
Since you book with us here at Perfect Landing, you can ask us about area events and activities. Let us know what “adventure” your group is looking for. There are local stores, pizza joints, and one-of-a-kind restaurants nearby. Like birding? Ask us about the Kirtland’s warbler tours in the Huron National Forest.

My friends and I had our 9th annual summer group trip at Sandy Beach Cottages this summer and it was awesome! We had friends fly-in/drive from all over the country; our stay at Sandy Beach Cottages was our favorite destination thus far. it's perfect for a large group (ours was 20). If the awesome private beach on Lake Erie isn't enough, there are several inland lakes near Sandy Beach Cottages for fishing boats. There's also a local golf course as well as plenty of grocery stores. We will definitely be re-booking with Sandy Beach Cottages next summer! Aubrey K.
Plenty of chairs and umbrellas for the beach, lots of sand toys as well. Be prepared for lots of sand everywhere! That is why they called this rental: sandy beach cottages!!! It is difficult to keep the sand out of the units because the sand is all the way up to the cottage entrances! Magnificent sunrises, large sand bar for kids to play/swim. Nancy Sheridan
