The Winfield Place is a very spacious cottage that is perfect for multiple families. The upstairs has two bedrooms with large closets that share a large bathroom that overlooks the peaceful wooded glen. The main floor includes a living room with a fireplace, dining area, kitchen, full bathroom and bedroom. The ground floor is wheel chair accessible and has one bedroom, one bathroom and an adjacent living/dining area.
The Winfield Place is on a very private 1.5-acre lot between Lake Michigan and Crystal Lake. The property also offers beach access to both lakes. Frankfort and Beulah are just a few miles from the cottage and driving distance to other great tourist destinations like Empire, Glen Arbor and Traverse City. With so much to do in the area, your vacation at the Winfield Place is sure to be filled with fun and adventure.
Sleeping Arrangement: The upstairs has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a queen bed. The main floor bedroom has one queen bed and a comfy chair that converts into a single bed. The ground floor has two twin beds and room for a large air mattress. Linens are provided for all beds.
The Winfield Place has a very unique location in between Lake Michigan and Crystal Lake. With beach access to both lakes, there are endless opportunities for water activities. Boating, fishing, kayaking, canoeing and swimming are all great things to do on your summer vacation in Northern Michigan. Rent a boat or bring your own for fun on the water all day. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore begins just north of Frankfort!
The Winfield Place is the perfect place to relax and unwind. With the spacious property, you can really disconnect from the world and explore the area. Stepping outside your cabin and spending some time with nature is always a great way to refresh yourself and find peace.
Benzie County offers many fun things to do away from the water as well. If you are into site seeing, check out the Point Betsie Lighthouse to learn more about the Great Lake maritime history and climb the lighthouse tower. The Benzie Area Historical Museum is another great place to learn about the history of the Benzie County. The museum is in a Congressional Church building built in 1887 and is full of interesting exhibits.
Hiking and biking are also great summer activities while staying at the Winfield Place. The Betsie Valley Trail is a 22-mile trail through the Benzie County. Built on the bed of the former Ann Arbor Railroad, the trail features beautiful scenery of different lakes and vegetation. The Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy also has many great hiking trails within the protected communities of wildlife. Spending time in these areas is sure to connect you with nature and allow you to appreciate the beauty of Northern Michigan.

Rates subject to change. We require a $75 refundable security deposit. This insures that the property is left in the same condition as when the tenant arrived. Going Up North Vacation Rentals has a 3-night minimum during the off-seasons. We will consider a partial week during the high season, but we don’t take reservations for partial weeks until the last week in June. If renter cancels and we are not able to fill that week, Going Up North Vacation Rentals keeps the ½ rental down payment.
